Bronte Creek Provincial Park is located at the east end of Burlington, on Burloak Drive, just north of the QEW highway (see map). We are 30 minutes west of Toronto and 15 miutes east of Hamilton. The management of this beautiful Provincial Park has an agreement with the Burlington Radio Control Modelers that allows members to use a portion of the park for flying radio controled aircraft. Only members and registered guests (with MAAC or AMA insurance) are allowed to fly at the park. The field includes an area for flying helicopters (and other such oddities) and a grass strip for flying radio controlled aircraft (a.k.a. “Plankers”) Any day when the weather is relatively nice (calm winds and not raining) we are usually flying. This field is often quite active in the early morning. We encourage the public to come watch us fly our planes.
